Iran’s GDP growth reaches 4.4%

Iran’s GDP growth reached 4.4 percent during the first three months of current fiscal year (March 20-June 20), said the Statistical Center of Iran.

Iran’s non-oil GDP growth reached 2.9 percent during the period, according to the report.
The growth in agriculture and services sector was 4 percent and 2.9 percent respectively, while the industrial sector grew by 8.8 percent during the period.

The growth of Iran’s GDP is projected at 4.7 percent in 2018, according to the World Bank.
In its June 2016 Global Economic Prospects report, the World Bank suggested that Iran’s GDP would stand at 4.9 in 2017 and 4.4 in 2016.
