Iran’s gasoline import plunges

Iran's gasoline imports decreased from 12 million liters per day (ml/d) in the first half of current fiscal year to 4 ml/d currently, Mohsen Qamsari, the director for international affairs of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said Oct.14.

Iran’s fiscal year (FY) started on March 21.

Qamsari said that it’s expected that the country’s gasoline imports decrease more in 2HFY.

Iran’s gasoline imports in 1HFY increased by 4 ml/d, compared to the same period in the last fiscal year.

Iran produced 62.5 ml/d of gasoline last year, while its consumption stood at 70.8 ml/d.
