Turkey stopped the electricity import from Iran in June-August 2016, while its cumulative power import from its eastern neighbour stood at 545 million kilowatt hours (kWh) in1H16.
Turkey’s power import from Iran plunged in March (beginning of Iran’s fiscal year).
In total, Turkey imported 3.7 billion kWh of electricity in eight months of 2016, according to monthly statistics of Turkey Energy Market Regulatory.

The reports didn't elaborate on the country's power import statistics in the same period of the last year, but in total, Turkey imported 7.411 billion kWh in 2015, about 542 million kWh less than 2014.
The country also exported 2.696 billion kWh of electricity in 2015.
