Iran increased gas oil and fuel oil export to about 400,000 barrels per day (b/d), sharing about 13.5 percent of the Middle East’s total oil products exports.
According to an official document, prepared by Iran’s Oil Ministry, Iran plans to boost the volume to 600,000 b/d by the end of next fiscal year (March 20, 2018).
The report says that currently the total volume of crude oil export also stands at 2 million barrels per day, sharing 2.5 percent of the global markets.
“The figure is expected to reach 5 percent by 2021”, the report said.
Iran plans to increase the oil products exports by increasing the refinery capacity from the current 1.8 mb/d to 3.2 mb/d by 2021.
According to another document, obtained by Trend, the country has focused on boosting gasoline export. Currently Iran imports about 12 ml/d of gasoline.

Iran has several major new refinery projects. The Persian Gulf Star Refinery will add 360,000 b/d, while Siraf Complex, Anahita and Bahman Geno refineries will add 480,000 b/d, 150,000 b/d and 300,000 b/d to Iran’s current refinery capacity.
