Tehran, Iran, Nov. 25

By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:

Gas supply to northern Iranian areas, which had dropped following a plunge in temperature and consumption peak, has now resumed.

The gas pressure started to rise in the afternoon of November 24 and the entire area’s population was receiving gas from 9:00 on, National Iranian Gas Company spokesman Majid Bujarzadeh told SHANA news agency Nov. 25.

The gas pressure in the cities of Amol, Babol and Babolsar fell earlier as a wave of cold hit the area.

Bujarzadeh said that during these days the company provided liquid fuel to people in the area.

He noted that in the past 24 hours the Iranian housing sector used 550 million cubic meters of gas.

In spring and summer the volume was 164 mcm/d.
