The Iranian government’s debt is several times bigger than the previously announced number of $46 billion, Economy Minister Ali Tayyebnia said.
“Although a large number, it is still small compared to debts owed by other governments to their private sectors. Yet, the problem is that our debt is disorganized,” he told private sector representatives, Mehr news agency reported December 27.
