Since it took office in 2013, the Rouhani administration has renovated 30 percent of Iran’s agricultural machines, according to Kambiz Abbasi, head of Mechanization Bureau at the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture.
In the meantime, he added, the import of agricultural machinery declined by 20 percent, IRNA news agency reported January 14.
According to Abbasi, the price of heavy agricultural machinery dropped by 15 to 20 percent after Iran was freed from international sanctions in early 2016.
