Iran produces 1.1 million autos in 10 months

Iran produced 1.1 million various autos during first 10 months of current fiscal year, indicates 38 percent growth year-on-year, Amir Hossein Ghanati, the head of the Scientific Advisory Council Director General of Automobile and Automotive Industries told Tasnim Jan.20.
Iran’s fiscal year started on March 21.
He said that some 1.3 million autos is expected to be produced in the country during the whole of current fiscal year.
Iran’s auto manufacturing capacity is about 1.5 million per year, but the volume plunged to a third of the resections level after western countries imposed restrictions on the country to curb its nuclear activities.
Sanctions on Iran were removed in January 2016.
There is not official statistics about the auto imports during 10 months of current fiscal year, but Iran imported 40, 443 autos with worth $1.038 billion during nine months of year.
Last year, Iran’s 10-month auto import stood at 36,127.
