The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) and Pasargadae Energy Development Company signed an agreement on the development of three oil fields in Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran.
The fields are Koranj, Parsi, and Shadegan, said Ahmad Mohammadi, a NISOC official, and added that the agreement will be valid six months, IRNA news agency reported January 29.
He further said that $10 billion has been allocated to the development of the fields.
On the same day the NISOC announced that on January 30 it will finalize its talks with British Petroleum over some exploration and production projects.
