Iranian carmaker TAM IranKhodro Company said the company is slated to launch a production line for Peugeot 2008 SUV in the county over the coming days.
Iman Ehtesham, an official with TAM IranKhodro Company, has said that the company has carried out some required tests, expressing hope that the production line would be launched within the current month, ISNA news agency reported.
TAM IranKhodro is affiliated with Iran’s largest carmaker IranKhodro.
Iran manufactured 233,000 Peugeot vehicles in 2016 under the French carmaker’s license.
French carmaker PSA Group earlier announced that its global sales in 2016 increased by 5.8 percent, to 3.146 million units.
