Iran's PSEEZ gas condensate export up by 43%

More than 17.515 million tons of gas condensates, worth $7.011 billion were exported from Iran's Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in the last Iranian fiscal year, which ended on March 20, 2017.

The figure indicates a rise by 43 percent in terms of value and 59 percent in terms of volume, compared to last year, Mehdi Yousefi, the managing director of PSEEZ, said, IRNA news agency reported Apr. 6.

A total of 34.195 million tons of goods (41 percent increase from preceding year), worth $14.917 billion (22 percent increase), were exported from PSSEZ in the 12-month period, Yousefi said.

The zone’s exports in the 12th Iranian calendar month (Feb. 20-March 20) amounted to 3.2 million tons, worth $1.33 billion.

Light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensate, propane, butane, urea, ethylene glycol, p-Xylene, methanol and cement were among the exported goods, Yousefi said, adding that the goods were exported to 29 countries.

PSEEZ is located in the Persian Gulf coast, approximately 100 Km off the South Pars gas field.
