Iran has supplied about 1.04 billion liters of fuel to domestic and foreign airlines during the first half of current fiscal year (started March 20), Morteza Abedini, head of the Head Office for Fueling Airlines, affiliated to National Oil Products Distribution Company said.
The figure indicates an increase by 5 percent compared to the preceding year, Abedini said, the oil ministry reported Oct. 8.
The official further said that the company has supplied 133,882 flights with fuel during the 6-month period.
The figure is 7 percent more while compared to the preceding year, Abedini, added.
He said that 55 air plane fueling stations are active in Iranian airports.
