Iran exports gas-fired household appliances to Italy

Iran's total home appliances exports accounted to $183 million in the first nine months of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 20, 2917), ‎Masoud Kamali Ardakani, director general of Trade Promotion Organization of ‎Iran (TPOI) for exports development, said.

During the period, the Islamic Republic exported various appliances including air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machines, sewing machines and gas-fired household appliances (heaters, ovens and etc) to various regional markets, Kamali Ardakani said, the press office of the TPOI reported.

Italy was also among top destinations of Iran’s gas-fired household appliances, he said, adding that the exports to the European country witnessed a 53.8 percent rise year-on-year.

However he did not unveil the volume or value of the exported appliances to Italy.

Kamali Ardakani further said that besides Italy, Iraq and Afghanistan were also the main importers of gas-fired household appliances from Iran in the 9-month period.

Export of the appliances to Iraq and Afghanistan registered rise by 20.2 and 18.7 percent, respectively, year-on-year.

The Iranian official further said that Iraq and Afghanistan were also top destinations of Iran’s exported refrigerator with a 73 and 12 percent annual growth respectively.

Turkey, Sudan and Tajikistan were also among the importers of home appliances in the period, Kamali Ardakani said.

The yearly turnover of home appliances market in Iran reaches $8 billion. Domestic production accounts for 75 25 percent of this amount, according to the Iranian officials.
