Gold & foreign currency jump in Iranian market

Gold coin was traded in Iran at 17,100,000 rials (about $351 according to the currency rate in Iran's free market) on March 26, indicating a jump of 4.52 percent compared to the preceding day.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,610,520 rials (about $33), adding 1.52 percent.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 61,710 rials in the free market, growing 0.62 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 46,633 rials.

The US dollar was traded at 50,490 rials in the free market, gaining 1.16 percent. The CBI put the official rate for the US dollar at 37,686 rials.
