Tehran Stock Exchange performance on Aug. 26

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) increased by 2,239.18 points (1.64 percent) to end the trades at 138,582.6 on Aug. 26.
According to the TSE official website, about 1,749 million shares valued at $150 million were traded for the day.
The trading value registered a rise by 29 percent, while the volume increased by 20.6 percent compared to the preceding day.
The Price Index (TEPIX) increased by 655.02 points (1.64 percent) to post 40,535.6.
The First Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (FM) increased by 2,187.45 points (2.18 percent) to 102,510.5.
The Second Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (SM) increased by 1,881.02 points (0.69 percent) to post 274,011.
The Industry Index increased by 2,141.4 points (1.71 percent) to post 127,248.4.
TSE 30 Index gained 150.14 points (2.23 percent) to close at 6,870.6.
TSE 50 Index gained 104.53 points (1.76 percent) to end at 6,056.5.
Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Gol Gohar Mining and Industrial Company were among those that had the highest positive effect on the TSE index.
Meanwhile, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Company, Jam Petrochemical Company, Informatics Services Cooperation, Khorasan Steel Company and Pardis Petrochemical Company had the biggest negative impact on the TSE index.
