Four candidates for ministers gain votes of confidence in Iran

The candidates for the minister of cooperatives, labour and social welfare, the minister of economic affairs and finance, the minister of industry, mine and trade, the minister of roads and urban development nominated by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani gained the votes of confidence of the Iranian parliament, Mehr News Agency reported.

During the long sessions of the Iranian parliament, the MPs expressed their confidence.

According to the message, 203 MPs voted for Reza Rahmani, a candidate for the minister of industry, mine and trade, 49 against and 13 abstained.

Moreover, 200 MPs voted for Farhad Dejpasand, a candidate for the minister of economic affairs and finance, 50 against and 15 abstained.

Meanwhile, 196 MPs voted for Mohammad Shariatmadari, a candidate for the minister of cooperatives, labour and social welfare, 63 against and 5 abstained.

According to the message, 151 MPs voted for Mohammed Islam, a candidate for the minister of roads and urban development, 98 against and 8 abstained.

Thus, all four candidates nominated by the government have gained votes of confidence of the Iranian parliament.
