Some 925 tank and freight wagons will be used in the country's railway network through the support of the Iranian Fuel Conservation Company, Sasan Kazeminejad, head of transport department of the company, said.
Until now, 200 wagons have been used upon seven contracts signed between the railway company and investors, Kazeminejad added, Trend reports referring SHANA.
Over the last few months, the company has approved the decison to purchase 725 railcars and the decision will come into force till the next year (to start March 21, 2018), he added.
Railway development is an important issue in the country. Some $7.5 million is envisaged for the implementation of projects for the development of railway transport, he said.
