The export of apples by Iran increased by 23 percent during nine months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018) compared to the same period of last Iranian year according to the statistics of the Iran Customs Office, Mahmoud Bazari, Director General for Exports Coordination Office at the Iran Trade Promotion Organization, said.
During the reporting period, the products worth $140 million were exported, Bazari added, Trend reports referring to the Iran Trade Promotion Organization's website.
The products worth $114 million were exported during the same period of the last Iranian year, he added.
Bazari said that 2.58 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $9.093 million were exported during nine months of this Iranian year.
During the reporting period, export of tomatoes increased by 60 percent, export of other fruits and vegetables – by 162 percent, export of cucumbers - by 31 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
