Most of Iranians who have recently left for foreign countries do not come back, Director of the Iran Association of Air Transport and Tourist Agencies Hormatulla Rafii said.

The majority of Iranians leaving for foreign countries such as Spain, some other European countries, Canada go there for the permanent residence, Rafii added, Trend reports referring to ILNA.

Saying that Turkey ranks first among the countries to which the Iranians show interest as tourists, he also mentioned Malaysia and India.

He expressed the concern of travel agencies in connection with the destabilization of the situation in the country's currency market.

If the situation stabilizes in the currency market, the number of tourists may increase, Rafii added.
