Electricity production at Ramin Thermal Power Station, located in Ahvaz County of Iran's Khuzestan Province, has exceeded 9.6 million megawatts since the beginning of the current Iranian year to the end of its 11th month, said Naser Mohammadi, Executive Director of Ramin Thermal Power Plant, Trend reports referring to the website of the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to Mohammadi, thanks to the reduced demand for electricity in winter, repair work is underway and the station's problems are being handled.

Mohammadi added that major repairs at the station's 305-megawatt section are at the final stages.

The Ramin Thermal Power Plant of Iran's Khuzestan Province has 6 production divisions. At 1,850 megawatt hours of electricity, the station provides about 40 percent of the electricity needed by the province.
