During the first three months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) carried out work at 28 wells, the total depth of which is about 36,960 meters, said NIDC deputy managing director Mohammad Al-e Khamis, Trend reports with reference to Shana news agency.
He said that in the reporting period, drilling operations were carried out at 28 oil and gas fields. He noted that 13 wells were extended, and 15 were repaired.
“Nineteen wells belong to the National Iranian South Oil Company, two wells belong to the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, two wells belong to the Iranian Offshore Oil Company and two wells belong to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company," he said.
In his words, three wells were drilled, equipped, and as part of the project, handed over to the companies for use.
According to him, NIDC operates 72 drilling rigs, 69 of which are located on land and three at sea.
