In terms of weight, 90 percent of Iran’s trade is carried out by sea, deputy head for the port and economic affairs at Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran Mohammad Ali Hasanzadeh said, Trend reports via ISNA.
In his words, about 81 percent of offshore trade volume is carried out through southern Iran. He added that 3 percent of Iran’s warehouse services are provided by state-owned companies and 97 percent by the private sector.
He said that the organization pays great attention to investment. “In turn, investors show interest in the projects of the organization,” he noted.
