Goods worth over $2B transited from Iran’s Bashmaq customs

During the six months (March 21-September 22) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), 799,900 tons of goods worth $2.05 billion were transited from Iran’s Bashmaq customs in Kurdistan province, said Bakhtiyar Rahmanipour, director general of Kurdistan Customs Administration, Trend reports via IRNA.

Rahmanipour said that transited goods decreased by 29 percent in weight and by 18 percent in value compared to the same period last year.

The director general added that foreign transit of 477,200 tons of goods from Bashmaq customs amounted to $1.84 billion.

Rahmanipour added that domestic transit of 27,400 tons of goods stood at $9.3 million.
