In the first six months (from March 21 to Sept. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, industrial exports of Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province decreased by 45 percent in monetary terms compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, Director of Foreign Trade Department at Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Siavash Nazari said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

During the reported period, 27,400 tons of industrial goods worth $25.9 million were exported, Nazari said.

The exports decreased by 40 percent in terms of weight, the director added.

The main reasons for the decline in the exports of the province's industrial products are the US sanctions against Iran, economic destabilization and non-return of foreign currency to the country, Nazari said.

The director noted that the main exports of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province are metal, rubber, copper, household items, dairy products and feed for aquatic animals.

According to Nazari, currently, there are about 1,200 manufacturing and industrial enterprises in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province and about 40 them are export-oriented.
