Iranian minister discloses production volume of cars

Iran produces 4,000 cars daily, Iran's Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Reza Rahmani said.

Rahmani made the remark in Iran at a meeting with members of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and his deputies, Trend reports referring to Fars News Agency.

“Iran produced 1,000 cars daily seven years ago,” the minister added. “Some 103 million tons were exported from Iran during nine months of this Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2019) compared to 87 million tons in the same period of last Iranian year.”

The Iranian minister said that the export volume increased by 19 percent.

Rahmani said that the export volume of steel, copper, vegetable oil, cement, tile and ceramic products while the export volume of crude oil decreased during nine months.

As for the trade turnover with Pakistan, the Iranian minister said that Pakistan uses about 100 million square meters of ceramic products per year.

“Some 20 million square meters of that volume are produced domestically and 80 million square meters are imported,” Rahmani said.

“Iran's share in import of ceramic products is eight million tons,” the minister said. “However, this volume may be increased.”
