Some 9,000 hectares of land will be allotted to farmers in the Iranian agricultural parks till the end of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 21, 2020), Executive Director of the Iranian Agricultural Parks Company Ali Ashraf Mansouri said.
“Some 6,700 hectares of land have already been allotted to farmers,” the executive director added, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Agriculture Ministry's website. “Most of the land plots were allotted for greenhouses and fish farms.”
Mansouri said that the loans worth 7.3 trillion rials (about $174 million) have been issued since the beginning of this Iranian year for the development of agricultural parks.
“The number of the issued loans increased threefold over the past six years,” the executive director said. “Most of the loans were issued for the construction and expansion of greenhouses and cattle breeding farms.”
