Iran discloses volume of products exported through Markazi province

Iran exported goods worth $840 million through the customs of Markazi province during 10 months (from March 21 through January 20) of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Director General of the Customs Administration of the province Ismayil Huseyni said.

“The export volume reached 1.5 million tons,” Huseyni added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

“The export volume increased by 24 percent, while export value increased by 1.5 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year,” the director general added.

"Various hydrocarbons, armature, heavy and lightweight polyethylene, glass, polypropylene, fruit juices are among the main exported products," the director general said.

“The goods were exported to 58 countries through the customs of the province by the end of third month of this Iranian year [May 22 - June 21, 2019],” Huseyni said. “Later, despite the US sanctions against Iran, the goods were exported to 22 more countries.”

“Some 156,000 tons of products worth $399 million were imported during the reporting period,” the director general added. “The import volume increased by 18 percent while import value increased by 46 percent during 10 months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year.”

“The equipment, fruit juices, aluminum lids, compressors, cars and other products were imported,” Huseyni said.

"These products are imported from 55 countries, including China, Turkey, Germany, UAE and India," the director general said. “The customs of the province gained revenues worth 16.9 billion rials (about $403,000) during 10 months of this Iranian year.”
