The amount of foreign investments increased by 50 percent in Iran during 10 months of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through January 20, 2020) compared to the same period of last Iranian year, Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Farhad Dejpasand said.
Dejpasand made the remark at the meeting of the Public-Private Dialogue Council in Iran’s Hamadan province, Trend reports referring to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
“Foreign investments worth $4.5 billion were made during the reporting period,” the minister added. “Iran's export weight increased by 20 percent while export value decreased by three percent. This is the result of the work of the private sector.”
The minister said that Iran imported goods worth $36 billion during the reporting period.
Iran's trade turnover exceeded $72 billion during the reporting period.
