Iranian government has hinted at reducing the commodity tariff rate in the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021), said spokesman of the Budget Integration Commission Rahim Zare, Trend reports via IRNA.
"The government has proposed the official foreign currency rate of 42,000 rial per USD as the rate on customs entry fee in the budget bill for the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) that was changed by the commission to be based on NIMA foreign currency rate (250,000 rials)," Zare said.
"The aim of the commission to change of foreign currency rate for customs entry fee is to prevent corruption and multiple foreign currency rates in the country," he said.
"The members of the commission have also decided that the predicted oil sale revenues for the new Iranian year (starts March 21,2021) would be 1.5 million barrels of oil per day, while the government has previously predicted the sale of 2.3 million barrels of oil per day. The remaining difference between the two prediction would be 800 barrels would be used to pay off the government debt to the National Development Fund," he said.
