Iranian commodities are exported to Saudi Arabia via the UAE and Oman, said the head of Iran - UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce Farshid Farzanegan, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The participation of Iranian businessmen in exhibitions and active diplomacy especially in trade with the UAE, is very important," he said.
"Bahrain created possibility to improve trade especially in case of Saudi Arabia that has capacity to import goods, and at the moment Iranian commodities are exported to Saudi Arabia via Oman and the Emirates," said Farzanegan.
"Facilitating visits of businessmen, connection between the Central Bank of Iran and the Emirati banks and exhibition could help the trade improvement," said the official.
"The launch of the economic department at the Iranian embassy in the UAE and opening industrial and commercial and tourism desks could also help improve trade," Farzanegan said.
"The Iran - UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce has signed a memorandum of understanding with its members for joint cooperation. Also, the chamber is working to help Iranian businessmen in the mining sector of the UAE."
