The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran announced that the government is seriously pursuing the supply of housing for the target community.
During the construction ceremony of 1,800 housing units in Islamshahr city, Mohammad Eslami the Minister of Road and Urban Development said all the capacity of housing construction should be used and the Ministry will remove obstacles by reforming the approach and policies, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development stated that the rapid process of obtaining a housing construction permit is among the efforts to remove obstacles and support.
The National Housing Action Plan aims to construct 400,000 small and medium-size apartments (70-100 square meters in size) across the country and particularly in Tehran, where housing prices have risen most sharply.
Nearly half of the total number of the said homes will be constructed in Tehran’s suburban “new towns” such as Parand and Pardis, respectively located in the west and east of the city.
According to Iran's Minister for Transport and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, the government plans to complete the new units by April 2021.
