Tehran Refinery begins production after wildfire

The CEO of Tehran Oil Refining Company Hamed Aramfar announced the beginning of production, following a 2-day wildfire, Trend reports via IRNA.

A huge fire broke out at an oil refinery in the southern part of Tehran on June 2.

Aramfar said that thanks to the tireless efforts of the fire fighters, fire was extinguished in less than 26 hours and the refinery was put into production.”

He added there are currently no problems with the refinery's production process.

Tehran Oil Refining Company with a refining capacity of 250,000 barrels per day produces about 17 to 20 percent of the country's energy.
