Iran's next government plans over oil would be clear after the formation of the cabinet, said Iran's former representative in OPEC.
"We should wait until the next government is formed and ministers are chosen and then judge, but evidence shows the new government intensely seeks to use domestic potentials in the development of oil industry," Mohammad Ali Khatibi, told Trend in an interview.
"The government of Mr. Raisi seeks to use domestic capacities to improve the economy, his government is looking to manage the economy in a way that if there are no foreign relation changes, the economy could continue the function domestically," he noted.
Khatibi went on to express that there were two rounds of sanctions, one was during Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's term and the other in Rouhani 's term, in both sanctions situation the oil industry has supplied its needs, these sanctions were opportunities to minimize international relations and foreign import and have wider approach toward domestic producers.
"Sanctions were opportunities for Iran to show its domestic capacity and substitute it for import, now domestic capacity substituted foreign import and if this trend continues, with existing innovations in the country it is possible to manage the country by domestic capacity," he added.
