Trade of oil products increases at Iran Energy Exchange

National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company and the National Iranian Oil Company have put gas condensates at Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) since June 22, as feed for domestic industries, VP of Market Operations and Surveillance at Iran Energy Exchange Mohammad Salehifar told Trend in an interview.

"A total of 860,000 barrels of gas condensates valued 9.34 million rials (about $222) per barrel has been offered by the National Iranian Oil Company while the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company offered 1,032 tons of gas condensate valued $2,000 per ton," he said.

"National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company also offered 120,000 tons of kerosene at the exchange, which was welcomed by buyers, and 60,345 tons of it was sold," he said.

"National Iranian Gas Company and National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company has offered 70,072 tons of natural gas in the past 21 days in the form of premium exploration contract and 102,000 tons were traded at the Iran Energy Exchange export ring," he said.

Salehifar also said that about 267,000 tons of naphtha in various grades of light, heavy, medium, mixed and full range valued 34.5 billion rials (about $820,000) has been traded at the exchange since June 22," he said.

"The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, Persian Gulf Star Oil Company and Lavan Oil Refinery Company were the major suppliers of naphtha," he said.

Meanwhile, Iran's power plants offered a total of 3.8 billion kilowatt of electricity at the Iran Energy Exchange since June 22," he said.
