Iran assigns funds to back up agriculture sector in Kermanshah Province

TEHRAN, Iran, July 26

Iran has assigned a total of $32 million to support the agriculture sector of its Kermanshah Province, said the Managing Director of crisis management of Kermanshah Province Amir Zohrabi, Trend reports via IRNA.

"The sum includes $26 million related to for urban and rural drinking water management and $5.3 million for combating drought," said Zohrabi.

"A water treatment plant will be inaugurated this month in Gavshan dam that transport water to city of Kermanshah and increases water transportation by 950 liters per second," he said.

"So far seven wells have been launched, which transfer water to Kermanshah while three more wells would inject water in case of technical need," said Zohrabi.

"Installing 200 meters pipeline and water transportation to new neighborhoods in the city of Paveh are underway," he said.
