TEHRAN, Iran, July 31
Trend:
Iran has distributed some 1,850 solar panels among the nomads of the Fars Province, Director General Nomads Affairs Administration of Fars Province Ruhollah Bahrami said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
According to the policies of 'resistance economy' and also the optimal use of resources and saving energy resources by using renewable energy, the Nomads Affairs Administration of Fars Province distributed solar panels in nomadic areas, Bahrami said.
"Due to the long distance from the power transmission line, it was impossible to supply electricity to nomad residential areas,” he said.
Accordingly, he says that from the beginning of May, the solar panels meet the needs of nomads in those areas.
He added that renewable energy can shape a better future for the nomadic community.
