Iran is building affordable prefabricated homes in Kish Island to boost the economy and livelihood of local residents, said the secretary of Free Zones High Council, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
Kish Free Zone Organization agenda is to sign build-operate-transfer (BOT) contracts with contractors for installing prefabricated homes that are affordable for the low incomes, Saeed Mohammad noted.
In order to empower local employment, investors are obligated to use local forces in their projects. The plan is to promote businesses in Kish Island without limit including fishing and tourism sectors.
Iran Ministry of Road and Urban Development plans to construct two million housing units for the low-income class in one year as part of the government landmark housing plan to build four million residential units in the next four years to maintain the surging prices in the housing market.
