More applicants register for Iran's National Housing Plan

More than 2.5 million applicants have registered for the National Housing Movement Plan, said the head of the Housing Economy Office in the Ministry of Road and Urban Development, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The registration for affordable housing was open for applicants in 720 cities and 2.506 million people have applied for the National Housing Movement Plan, Parvaneh Aslani noted.

A total of 750,000 housing units are being constructed as part of the National National Housing Movement Plan.

The government will provide 4.5 billion rials (about $107,000) and 2.5 billion rials (about $59,000) advances for applicants in the city of Tehran and villages for housing construction.

The Iranian government's landmark housing plan aims to build four million residential units in the next four years to maintain the surging prices in the housing market.
