Iran has the opportunity to export, swap, or transit Qatar gas to
neighbor countries via its pipelines, said the energy expert
Mohammad Mehdi Alizadeh, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
He said these countries include Pakistan, Iraq, Turkey, Kuwait and even India.
"The upcoming visit of Iranian president to Qatar could pursue
the possible cooperation in this regard," he said.
Iranian gas pipelines are currently exporting gas to Turkey and
Iraq, and it can transfer gas from Qatar to Pakistan, Kuwait, and
India.
The Sixth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas
Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) will be held in Doha, Qatar next
week.
