Iran Shipping Line Group cargo transportation and maritime trade are increasing while it uses different ways to solve the issue of financial transaction, said the Managing Director of Iran Shipping Line Group Mohammad Reza Modares Khyabani, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"Iran Shipping Line has transported 26 million tons of goods in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) that indicate 45 percent growth," he said.
The official went on to say that many foreign companies have stopped financing ship construction and purchase of vessels in Iran due to the US sanctions in 2018.
According to Khyabani, the priority of the Shipping Lines Group is to renovate the shipping fleet and foreign companies are waiting for the possible conclusion of the Vienna negotiation.
