Iran's oil exports rise

TEHRAN, Iran, March. 7

Iran`s crude oil exports have risen to 1.5 million barrels per day, said the director-general of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Safaie, Trend reports citing ILNA.

Ali Akbar Safaei made the remarks on the sideline of his visit to the infrastructure of Bushehr port.

Safaie said the development of the ports of Bushehr is on the organization's agenda.

“Kharg and Negin Islands, at one stage the world's largest offshore crude oil terminal, is Iran's primary export port for petroleum products and crude oil,” he noted.

The official announced growth in exports and imports via Bushehr ports, by 22 percent compared to last year.
