Iran increases budget for import of essential goods

TEHRAN, Iran, April 23. The Central Bank of Iran has assigned $11 billion for the import of goods from March 21 to April 21, Mustafa Ghamari Vafa the CBI public relations manager, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

"The assigned budget for import of goods has increased five times compared to $2.3 billion that was assigned at the same time in last Iranian year(March 21, 2021)," he said.

The CBI has assigned $1 billion to import medicine and medical equipment, $3 billion for essential goods, and $7 billion allocated to import other items.
