TEHRAN, Iran, June 24. Iran's non-oil export to neighboring countries reached $25 billion during recent months, said the head of Parliament's Mine and Industrial Commission Mostafa Taheri, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Iran's non-oil export was $48.5 billion in the last Iranian year(started March 21, 2021) and $25 percent of the sum belonged to trade with neighbors," he said.
He went on to say that Iran's position in the International
North-South Transportation Corridor was effective in energy
transit.
The neighboring countries have invested in cargo and energy transit
via Iran.
He pointed out that the Iranian government's focus is to increase trade with neighboring countries. The country's non-oil export to Turkey had 100 percent growth and non-oil export to Russia had about 30 to 40 percent rise
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has signed various memorandums of understanding on trade, transit, culture, and other fields with neighboring countries.
