TEHRAN, Iran, September 9. Iran is seeking to expand trade ties with African countries especially Kenya, said the chairman of Shiraz Chamber of Commerce Jamal Razaghi Jahromi, Trend reports citing ILNA.

An Iranian delegation is to visit eastern Africa and visit Kenya and their agenda is to visit industrial centers in the country and hold B2B meetings to expand trade relations in the next two or three months, he noted.

Iran annually imports Kenyan tea and its major export to the African nation is tomato paste, he said adding that the two countries have the potential for industrial cooperation.

Jahromi underlined the trade volume between Iran and Kenya is not remarkable compared to other African nations.

According to the official, the likely agreement in the 2015 nuclear deal would prepare the possibility for Iran to invest in Africa and expand cooperation with Kenya.
