Exports of non-oil products from Iran's Semnan province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 4. Iranian Semnan Province, located in the north of the country, increased non-oil exports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024), by 34 percent in value terms and 24 percent in weight terms compared to the same period last year, deputy chairman of the Industrial, Mining, and Trade Organization of Iran's Simnan Province, Nasir Tebyanian said in Trend reports.

According to Tebyanian, more than 290,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $120 million were exported from Semnan province in 11 months.

Tebyanian added that the province's non-oil products are exported to 39 countries, including neighboring countries.

The representative of the organization noted that 31,000 tons of products worth $197 million were imported to the province in 11 months. The products were imported from 28 countries, including Türkiye, China, Uzbekistan, Italy, and Germany.

To note, Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to about 125 million tons worth about $44.9 billion in the first 11 months. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 11.4 percent in weight terms.

Meanwhile, Iran's imports of products increased by 11.1 percent in value and 6.4 percent in weight in the first 11 months compared to the same period last year. Iran imported about 35.8 million tons of products worth about $59.9 billion.
