BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. Sirjan Jahan Steel Company's domestic sales volume increased by 33 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Trend reports.
In the last Iranian year, Sirjan Jahan Steel Company's domestic sales amounted to about 166 trillion rials (about $3.95 billion).
The company's product exports amounted to 18 trillion rials (about $429 million) last Iranian year. Product exports increased by 42 percent compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, the company's production in Iran was 2.16 million tons last year. Production increased by 1 percent compared to the previous year.
Additionally, the value of Sirjan Jahan Steel Company on the stock exchange last Iranian year was about 346 trillion rials (about $8.24 billion). This is a 26 percent increase from a year earlier.
To note, the Iranian steel company Sirjan Jahan is located in Fars province in the south of the country. This company was founded in 2009. The company produces sponge iron, rebar, steel ingots, and other products. The company intends to build 7 plants to increase production capacity.
