BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Iran's imports of products from Türkiye in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) increased by 23.3 percent in value and 39 percent in weight compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
However, Iran imported 4.9 million tons of products worth $7.52 billion from Türkiye last year.
Meanwhile, Iran's product imports from Türkiye in the previous Iranian year were 3.53 million tons worth about $6.1 billion.
The statistics add that Iran mainly imported various equipment, foodstuffs, raw materials, fabrics, etc. from Türkiye.
According to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, imports of products to Iran in the last Iranian year amounted to 39 million tons worth approximately $66.3 billion. The import of products increased by 9.77 percent in value and 4.39 percent in weight compared to the previous year.
To note, in importing products, Iran focuses on importing the necessary products needed by the country and imposes certain restrictions on importing the products manufactured in the country.
