BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company fulfilled its production plan by 100 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), executive director of Iran's Karoun Oil and Gas Production Company Hassan Shahrooei said, Trend reports.
According to Shahrooei, Karoon, an Iranian oil and gas producer, met its target of increasing output from development and workover wells last year. As a result, approximately 233,000 barrels of crude oil were produced each day from development and workover wells.
Shahrooei further stated that because Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company fully implemented the crude oil production plan last year, the company received 43 percent of the crude oil produced by the National Company of Southern Oil Zones.
Meanwhile, the Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, operating as part of Iran's South Oil Zones National Company, has the potential to produce more than 1 million barrels of oil per day. The main oil fields of this company are Ahvaz, Mansouri, AbTeymour, and Ramin.
To note, Iran's major oil corporations do not provide crude oil production data for a variety of reasons, including US sanctions.
