BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. The goal in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025) is to increase by 23 percent the export of non-oil products from Zanjan Province, located in the west of Iran, the chairman of the Organization of Industries, Mines and Trade of Iran's Zanjan Province, Majid Golshani said, Trend reports.

According to him, the export of non-oil products from Zanjan province is scheduled to reach $658 million this year.

Golshani added that in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), non-oil products worth $535 million were exported from Iran's Zanjan province. The province's products in terms of value were exported 56 percent to Turkey, 26 percent to Iraq, and 5 percent to the UAE.

The official stated that 13 countries were added to the list of countries exporting non-oil products last year, bringing the number of countries importing the province's products to 46.

Golshani noted that zinc ingots, electric transformers and spare parts, profiles, rebar, steel ingots, copper wire, propylene, and others are mainly exported from the region.

"Zanjan province's non-oil exports account for 1.3 percent of the country's non-oil exports," he added.

To note, according to statistics from Iran's Customs Administration, the country's non-oil exports in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
