Will US-Iran nuclear patience coincide?

A day expected by all observers came in the Iranian nuclear program. This is the deadline for concluding the final nuclear agreement. However, the agreement will not be reached today. Both sides of the negotiations warned about this. They said that they would need more time, perhaps a few more days. But no more, "Six" said.

Apparently, (if the agreement is concluded), it will be concluded before the US Congress goes on vacation, that is, before July 10. US President Barack Obama signed a bill on May 22. It requires him to send a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program to Congress. President Obama will have to submit the terms of the deal to Congress not later than five days after the conclusion of the deal. He will unlikely postpone this for the period after the holidays. And Iran itself is interested in submitting the agreement to the Congress as soon as possible.

The matter rests in the fact that Congress has 30 days to consider the agreement. Afterwards, the president is entitled to veto the decision of the Congress within 12 days. In its turn, Congress has 10 days to challenge a veto. During this long procedure, the US will be unable to lift sanctions from Iran. So Tehran is not pleased.

But the problems can occur even after concluding the agreement.

Most of the American congressmen (both Republicans and Democrats) don't believe that the idea of a dialogue with Iran is good.

This is due to not only the history of complex relations between the two nations, but also the influential Israeli lobby in the US, which firmly opposes any agreement with the Islamic Republic.

Meanwhile, there is an opinion in Congress that the Nobel peace prize winner Obama wants to be remembered as a peacemaker, and thus, makes concessions to Tehran to get a result.

It means that if the deal successfully passes through the Senate, there will be problems with regard to it in the future.

According to the agreements reached between the P5+1 and Tehran, the US, the EU and the UN will have to remove the sanctions with Iran's fulfilling its commitments.

However, a decision of lawmakers will also be needed for a full removal of the sanctions.

And they can refuse to make concessions to Tehran, leave the timeframe for lifting the sanctions such as the Senate wants, and thus cause escalation of tensions between Iran and the West.

Observers can only wait for the development of events, the main of which will unfold just after the nuclear deal is concluded.
